Why I Started Ride N’ Relax
I founded Ride N’ Relax in 2016 with a singular objective: private transportation should be something a client can confirm once and then stop worrying about.
While that sounds straightforward, it demands considerable attention to detail beyond simply placing a clean vehicle at an address. A professional transportation operation must meticulously account for routing, time of day, passenger needs, luggage capacity, airport logistics, vehicle specifications, and driver coordination. Understanding and managing these moving parts is something I’ve built the business around.
My Experience on Southern California Roads
Driving Southern California traffic since the 1980s has taught me that effective planning cannot rely on distance alone. Trip durations vary depending on the hour, day, airport, and direction of travel. A route that looks simple on a map can require considerably more planning when a passenger has a fixed flight departure or an executive is working against a strict schedule.
Deep Roots Across Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire
My history with Los Angeles County and the broader region isn’t just professional—it’s personal and lifelong. Growing up in Los Angeles, I attended Trinity Elementary near Trinity Street and what was formerly Santa Barbara Avenue, now Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and later attended Northridge Junior High in the San Fernando Valley. I graduated from Hamilton High School on the Westside of Los Angeles. I lived in neighborhoods from 84th and Normandie to 129th and Prairie and played Little League ball at St. Andrews Park, just a short distance from what is now SoFi Stadium. Later, in the 1990s, I lived in Moreno Valley, expanding my hands-on geographical expertise across the eastern stretches of the region.

Entertainment & Culture: From catching concerts at the Great Western Forum (now the Kia Forum) to hanging out along the beaches of Malibu, Santa Monica, and Heather Cliff, I’ve spent much of my life experiencing the communities, roads, neighborhoods, and culture that make Los Angeles and Southern California unique.
Professional Driving Experience: Before founding Ride N’ Relax, my professional driving experience in LA County included driving school buses for LAUSD out to Nobel Junior High in Northridge, as well as navigating the challenging terrain for the Santa Monica Unified School District across the hills of Malibu, Encinal Canyon, Kanan Dume Road, and Zuma Beach.
