A Message From The Founder
When I started Ride N’ Relax on October 19, 2016, my intention was never to build just another anonymous transportation company. I wanted to create the kind of service I would want for my own family, clients, and friends: a company where someone actually answers the phone, where the vehicle is reserved strictly for your party, where the details are handled personally, and where you know exactly who is responsible for getting you where you need to go.
Operating a reliable black car service requires transparency, adherence to state regulations, and genuine personal accountability. Nearly a decade later, I continue to manage daily operations personally, paying close attention to the details that matter when arranging private airport transportation.
As a lifelong Angeleno, my firsthand experience shapes how I approach Southern California transportation. My Life on Southern California Roads
My history with local roadways goes back a lifetime. I was born at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles and raised right here in the area, attending 24th Street Elementary, Trinity Elementary, and Northridge Jr. High School. I have held a California driver’s license since 1983.
By 1985, I began driving professionally as a school bus driver, transporting LAUSD students to Nobel Jr. High School. Defensive driving and constant situational awareness were absolute necessities. Operating a two-way radio, listening to broadcast traffic, and simultaneously monitoring students required complete attention to everything happening around me at all times.
Before founding Ride N’ Relax, I also worked extensively as a courier. That put me behind the wheel across Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Ventura County. Day in and day out, I navigated the major freeways, surface streets, obscure back streets, and commercial hubs that keep this region moving.
Over the decades, I have lived in several distinct parts of the Los Angeles area, including near Hauser Boulevard and Venice Boulevard on the Westside, around 84th Street and Normandie Avenue, and near 129th Street and Prairie Avenue. I have also personally traveled to major regional destinations over the years, including the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, the former Great Western Forum, and what is now Crypto.com Arena. Family visits to Altadena during the holidays throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s added even deeper regional context to my understanding of the Southland.
Why Local Experience Matters
When I talk about knowing Los Angeles, I am not referring to studying a map or checking live traffic apps online. I have spent more than four decades driving California roads, working throughout Southern California, and personally living within the communities that make this region unique.
That firsthand time behind the wheel translates into better transportation planning for my clients.
